Below is a list of recent product updates/enhancements. If you should encounter an issue with gSyncit please let me know and I'll be sure to address it as quickly as possible.

v1.12.3 Release - July 2008
  • Corrected issue where the settings dialog was failed to load if gSyncit was installed into a directory with a name other than "Program Files". This issue mainly affects international users.

  • Corrected a "Object reference not found" error when performing a sync without having any contact syncs configured.

v1.12.2 Release - July 2008
  • Corrected issue where yearly recurrence patterns failed to sync when they included an event that occurred on a specific week of a month. A user reported this issue where they attempted to sync the Google holiday calendar with Outlook and received a number of error messages.

  • Contact sync is finally here! gSyncit now supports synchronizing Google contacts with Outlook contacts. 

v1.11.14 Release, June 2008
  • Corrected issue with sync by day/date range not working when using dd/mm/yyyy date formats. Users have reported items being deleted as a result of the dd/mm/yyyy being translated into mm/dd/yyyy format when querying items in the Outlook calendar.

  • Corrected issue with sync'ing recurring appointments that occur on the last day of the month for monthly and yearly events. These appointments were not being properly written to the Outlook and Google calendars.

  • Updated the categories functionality for a feed mapping to include a dropdown of available categories. Feature is only available for Outlook 2007 users.

  • Updated the digital signature on the installer. The prior digital signature expired.

  • Corrected minor issue sync'ing busy/free status from Google to Outlook calendar.

  • Updated gSyncit to use the latest Google data components for accessing Google calendar content.

  • Corrected issue while sync'ing where outlook returns "You don't have the permission to move this item" error.

  • Corrected issue where gSyncit prevented the .nk2 from being properly saved when Outlook was closed.

  • Revisited - Corrected issue where an error dialog would be displayed when attempting to update read-only events.
  • Corrected issue where busy status in Google was incorrectly changing the Outlook status of Out of Office to Busy. If the status of an Outlook appointment is set to Out of Office and the Google entry is set to Busy then gSyncit will maintain the Out of Office status in the Outlook calendar.

  • Corrected issue where when using category filtering to exclude appointments some appointments not assigned to the category would incorrectly removed from the Google calendar.

  • Enabled gSyncit to use the default proxy settings from internet explorer when no proxy settings are configured.

  • Made several minor user interface changes for displaying errors and updated several error messages
  • Corrected an issue where when sync by day range is used items not within the day range may be deleted during a sync.
  • Corrected a minor issue where opening and closing the settings dialog would trigger a full re-sync to occur.

  • Corrected "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection." error that occurs when sync'ing entries from Google to Outlook.

  • Corrected user reported where some recurring entries that occurs every other week did not update to from the Google calendar to the Outlook calendar correctly. 
  • Corrected minor issue where gSyncit failed to match up certain Google items with Outlook items causing duplicate calendar items to be created.

  • Corrected issue with the sync process failing when using the d/m/yyyy Windows regional date time format.

  • Changed the feed mapping option "Publish all content to Google for private Outlook appointment entries" to read "Publish all content to for private appointments" since this feature applies to entries read from either the Google or Outlook calendar
  • Updated the date range format passed to Outlook to include AM/PM indicators to resolve a failure when the regional Windows settings are configured to use a 24 hour clock.

  • Corrected a bug which prevented recurring appointments occurring every other week to sync from Outlook to Google.
